Mildred Gibson, 84, of Junction, Texas, passed from this life to spend an eternity with her Lord and Savior at her son’s residence with her loving family at her side.
Born in Nathan, Arkansas, she was the youngest daughter of ten children born to Tom and Mary Green.
Mrs. Gibson was a loyal wife to her husband, Glenn Gibson, until his passing in November 2010 and together they raised and loved three children. She was an active member of the College Street Church of Christ in Junction. Her interests included family, painting and gardening. She cooked many meals and had many family gatherings within her home. She had a passion for painting and her family displays some of her paintings in their homes today. She loved to hunt, fish and vacation with her children, grand-children and great grand-children.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her sons, Tommie Gus Gibson and wife, Jan, of Wright City, Gary Michael Gibson and wife, Jackie, of Plano; daughter, Beverly Glennette Stone and husband, Wesley, of Baytown; grand-daughters, Rhonda Kay Gibson-Lazarus and husband Danny, of Shelbyville, Glenda Kay Gibson of Arp, Christy Michelle Webb and husband, Charles, of Baytown; grandson, Sonny Michael Gibson of Plano; great grand-children, Tanner, Pamela, Hayden and Karlie; brother, Gerald Green and wife, Carolyn, of Henderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Nashville Funeral Home in Nashville, Arkansas from 6pm to 9pm. Services will be held at Sunset Church of Christ on June 30, 2011 at 10 am. Services officiated by Mrs. Gibson’s nephew, A.C. Quinn.
