Condolence From: Mark, Julie, Hannah, and Conner Patterson
Condolence: Dear B.G. and family,
How fortunate we were to be able to call Gwen our friend. I know that all of the memories I have of our times together will always be special to me. She made me laugh and smile and think "outside the box." She was always so busy asking about others and their lives that she had little time to talk about herself. She spent her life trying to make others feel valued and special. Besides being an awesome classroom teacher, she was a great "life" teacher too. You could never be down or low in her presence. Her zest for life was obvious in everything she did. Even in her later years she was spontaneous and adventurous. We spent 2 hours driving around one night looking for a house near Nashville that was on the show Extreme Makeover, and we finally found it! I could go on and on about what a special influence she was in my life, but I know she touched everyone who knew her in just that same wonderful way. I loved her so much! She will be deeply missed. I know she's in heaven playing one of her tunes for Jesus with Jake, Kathie, and John gathered around her piano. Much love and sympathy, Julie
Condolence: Gwen was such a wonderfully, talented, loving & gracious lady. She and Jake were an awesome couple who brought so much joy to every room. Gwen was loved and appreciated by all "sisters" of THE DELTA KAPPA GAMMA SOCIETY, INTERNATIONAL. Her musical contributions to the Society were so fitting and so enduring. All of us in DKG were truly her "sisters" and she will be missed. However, we rejoice that she is once again with Jake and Kathie -- don't you know there was a great reunion yesterday!
