Olan Duncan “Nub” Icenhower, 87, of Dierks, Arkansas left this earth to be with the Lord on Monday, August 28, 2006. Mr. Icenhower was born May 11, 1919 in the Mt. Carmel Community south of Dierks. He was retired from the City of Dierks and a deacon at Center Point Baptist Church. On May 17, 1942, he married his lifelong companion, Iva Florine Westbrook. Together, they had seven children. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Jerry Icenhower in May, 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Florine of Dierks, four sons and two daughters-in-law, Dwight Icenhower of Dierks, Rickey Icenhower of Midland, Texas, Danny and Suzanne Icenhower of Texarkana, Ar., and Gary and Tammie Icenhower of Texarkana, Texas, two daughters and son-in-laws, Linda and Carroll Endsley of Shreveport, La., and Sandra and Paul Kemp of Center Point, Ar., a daughter-in-law, Helen Icenhower of Mineral Springs, Ar. Eighteen Grandchildren, Thirty Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. One sister, Willie Bea Icenhower of Center Point, Arkansas. And a host of other family and friends.
Services will be 2:00 pm. Wednesday at Nashville Funeral Home with Alan Davis and Shawn Kemp officiating. Burial will follow in Sunshine Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm.
