Edwin (Bob) Robert Armil, Jr. age 88 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, November 5, 2009 in Hot Springs. He was born May 29, 1921 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Edwin R. and Merna Hamann Armil, Sr. He was a retired Boiler Plant Foreman for the U.S. Government. Mr. Armil was a Methodist and an Army veteran of WWII. He was with the 101st Airborne where he received 2 Purple Hearts and 3 Bronze Stars. In 2000 he was awarded the Scrapper black and orange award from the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid fisherman and loved wood working. Mr. Armil was a 32nd Degree Mason, belonging to Mecca Lodge # 523 in Coggon, Iowa and Grapevine Lodge # 288 in Grapevine , Texas. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Eve Fusselman Armil who he had shared for over 49 years. Also 3 Brother-in-laws, Lewis Schlodtfelt, Ardo Trede and LaVerne Wessell. 1 Sister, Shirley Schlodtfelt. Survivors include; 1 son, Danny Armil of Riverside, California 2 daughters, Judy Crabtree of Murfreesboro, Arkansas Patty Miller of Jefferson City, Mo. 6 Grandchildren, Terry Crabtree, Robert Crabtree, Tracey Bell, Steven Armil, Alicia Hapner and Sherida Miller. 13 Great Grandchildren 2 Sisters, Frances J. Trede of San Antonia, Texas Jackie A. Wessell of Bettendorf, Iowa And a host of other family and friends. Services will be Graveside, Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 2 pm. at Restland Memorial Park in Nashville with Masonic Rites at the graveside, under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm.
