Obituary for George Stewart Sr.

George Stewart Sr.
George Stewart, Sr. was born February 15, 1920 in Augusta, Arkansas to the late Lula Randall Stewart, and Ruben Stewart. He departed this life on October 9, 2015 in Texarkana, Texas.
He was a veteran in the United States Army. He was employed at General Motors, until his retirement. He was a member of the Community Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, George (Tootsie) Stewart, Jr., and 3 former wives, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
At a young age he married Bertha Hardwick-Stewart and to this union 3 children were born. He leaves to cherish in his precious memories, his caregiver, Barbara Stewart of Mineral Springs, Ar., Terry (Rita) Stewart of Mineral Springs, Ar., and Betty (Carl) Wright of Texarkana, Ar., grandchildren, Danette Walton, Domenique Crump, Terrell Stewart, all of Mineral Springs, Ar., Tenise (Micheal) Giddens of Atlanta, Ga., Tia Stewart of Jonesboro, Ar., and Dan and Mark Noble of Adelan, Ca. and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Services will be Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 2 pm. at Nashville Funeral Home with Elder Kevin Brazil officiating. Interment will follow in Schaal Cemetery in Schaal, Ar. Under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.
