Minnie Belle Morton Daniel, age 85 of Nashville, AR passed away on Tuesday, October 7. She was born December 28, 1928 in Washington, AR, the daughter of the late Sid Morton and Edna Hendrix Morton Ray. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Clayton and Charlene Peterson.

She was a member of Avery’s Chapel Methodist Church at Belton. After graduating from Blevins High School, she married Ralph Daniel in 1948 and raised her family in Nashville. Belle was a wonderful and much loved wife, mother, and grandmother. An excellent cook, she enjoyed camping, playing dominoes, and visiting with friends and family. She worked at Howard Manufacturing until it closed, but her true vocation was working with the clients at Howard County Children's Center. Belle will be missed by all who knew her.

Loving survivors include her husband of sixty-five years, Ralph Daniel of Nashville; a son, Danny Daniel (Janell Neece) of Nashville; a daughter, Diane (John) James of Hot Springs; one grandson, Chris Rowland of Royal, AR; one granddaughter, Danna Reed of Nacona, TX; two great granddaughters, Emilee and Avery Belle Reed; one sister, Lorene Gould of Albuquerque, NM; five step-grandchildren John James Jr. of Edmond, OK, Kristina Robertson of Overland Park, KS, Melissa Garred of Seattle, WA, Sherri Hockaday of Nashville, and Jennifer Neece of Fort Worth; half-brothers, Bennie, James, and Charlie Morton; half sister, Bobbie Griffin, all of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Arrangements are by Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8. Graveside services and burial will be on Thursday, October 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Merrill Cemetery in Belton with Pastor Jim Teeter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avery's Chapel Methodist Church, 1008 Hempstead 339, McCaskill, AR 71847.
