Troy Cecil Parker, age 72 died at his home in Ben Lomond, Arkansas, Friday, August 10, 2012. He was born November 24, 1939 in Center Point, Arkansas to the late Cecil C. and Plumer Seymour Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of the Center Point Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Faye Russell Parker in August, 2003. They were married, October 28, 1960 and had two children. Lynn Rena Ward that died, March 30, 2012. He is survived by his son, Taylor Markell Parker and his wife, Teresa of Mineral Springs, Arkansas. Also surviving is his son-in-law, Wendell Ward of Ashdown, Arkansas, and his close grandson, Russell Hughes of Ben Lomond. He is survived by four sisters, Pauline Icenhower of Dierks, Mildred Harding, Viola Harding of Nashville, and Rosa Lee Cheatham of Texarkana, Texas. Five brothers, Denzil Parker of Albuquerque, New Mexico, James Parker of Nashville, Bobby Parker, Roger Parker of Dierks, and Loy Gene Parker of Lindale, Texas. He has another grandson, Joshua Parker, three granddaughters, April Friend, Paige Ward, and Isabella Ward. Great-grandson Braden Friend, Additionally many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10 am. at Sunshine Cemetery near Center Point with Calvin Parker officiating. The family will receive friends at Nashville Funeral Home on Monday night from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sunshine Cemetery fund.
