Obituary for George True Leroy Lowery


George True Leroy Lowery, age 84 of Nashville, passed away, Friday, February 10, 2012 in Dierks, Arkansas. He was born November 13, 1927 in Manilla, Arkansas to the late Otto Lando and Ollie Mae Baughn Lowery. He was retired from International Paper as a wood yard machine operator. Mr. Lowery was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He was formerly from Lawrence County, Arkansas moving here in 1968. He loved gardening, working on small machinery and was known for his killer pancakes for his grandkids. He also loved fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved his Lord and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Murlene Lowery on July 13, 2011.

Survivors include his children:
Connie Ann Ardwin Cupp and husband David of Mineral Springs, Arkansas
Donna Kaye Richmond and husband Phil of Foreman, Arkansas
Patricia Ann Cline and husband Curt of Neosho, Mo.
Tracy Charlene Mays and husband Keith of Mineral Springs, Arkansas
Eddie Leroy Lowery of Mineral Springs, Arkansas
1 sister, Minnie Bell Crumpton of Wichita, Kansas

11 Grandchildren, Phillip Richmond, Cole Lowery, Johnathon, Andrew and Matthew Mays, Mindy Newburg, Andria Ardwin, Courtney Richmond, Jennifer Robertson, Debra Cornell and Janey Cline.

7 Great Grandchildren, Alexandra and Nathaniel Peters, Samantha and Caleb Martin, Precious Cline, Adrianna Cornell, Sunny Robertson.
And a host of other family and friends.

Services will be Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10 am. at Nashville Funeral Home with Herman Welch and Keith Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday night from 6 to 8 pm. The family will be at the home of Mr. Lowery 125 Funderburg Rd. Mineral Springs.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Midway Baptist Church Memorial Garden Fund at 504 Hwy. 27 South Nashville, Arkansas 71852
